1About these terms

These terms apply to anyone who uses this website, bhagyanepal.org, or gives to Bhagya Nepal through the routes it describes. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2Who we are

This website is run by Bhagya Nepal, a non-profit organisation registered in Nepal and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (Affiliation No. 59416), based in Panipokhari, Kathmandu.

3Using this website

You may use this website to learn about our work, contact us and give. You agree not to:

  • use it for anything unlawful, or in a way that could harm Bhagya Nepal, the children we work with, or anyone else;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or its data, or interfere with how it works;
  • collect content from the site by automated means, including to train artificial intelligence systems;
  • claim to represent Bhagya Nepal, or raise money in our name, without our written permission.

4Our content and children's images

The text, photographs, illustrations, the Bhagya Nepal name and logo on this website belong to Bhagya Nepal or to the people who allowed us to use them.

You may link to any page, share pages using a platform's own sharing features, and quote short passages of text with credit to Bhagya Nepal and a link back. For anything else, ask us first.

Images of children may not be reused in any form. You may not copy, download, screenshot for republication, edit, repost, or feed into any artificial intelligence system any image of a child shown on this website, for any purpose, including fundraising for us.

These images appear only under a specific guardian consent that does not extend to anyone else.

5Gifts

A gift is voluntary

Gifts to Bhagya Nepal are voluntary donations. You receive no goods or services in return.

How gifts are used

Gifts fund our charitable work: education, mentorship and sustained guidance for the children we work with, and the costs of running the organisation responsibly. We do not tie a gift to one particular child, so that no child's schooling depends on a single donor.

How to give

The ways to give are set out on our Donatepage. Your own bank's or payment service's terms and charges apply to the transfer. Gifts made by Venmo are received by a member of our Advisory Board, as that page explains, and passed on to Bhagya Nepal.

Confirmation

Write to us at info@bhagyanepal.org after you give, with your name and the amount, and we will confirm your gift in writing.

Gifts made in error

If you give by mistake, for the wrong amount or more than once, tell us as soon as you can and we will work it out with you, which can include returning it. Bank or transfer charges for a return may be deducted.

Tax

We make no claim that a gift to Bhagya Nepal is tax-deductible in Nepal or any other country unless we state so in writing. Whether it is depends on where you pay tax; please take your own advice.

6Messages you send us

When you write to us, please make sure what you send is accurate and that you have the right to share any information about other people in it. A safeguarding concern is always welcome, even if you are unsure of the details.

7Links to other websites

Where we link to other websites, we do so for information only. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

8Accuracy

We take care that everything on this website is true and current. We do not publish figures, stories or claims we cannot stand behind. If you find something wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

9Availability and liability

We aim to keep this website available and working, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, Bhagya Nepal is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

10Privacy and safeguarding

How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy. How we protect the children we work with is set out on our Safeguarding & Child Protection page. Both form part of these terms.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always published here, with the date at the top. A gift already made is governed by the terms in place when it was made.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and any dispute will be settled by the courts of Nepal.

13Contact

For any question about these terms, email info@bhagyanepal.org, call or WhatsApp +977 9808548112, or write to us in Panipokhari, Kathmandu, Nepal.
